Aspen Youth Center opened its doors on October 31, 1991 following a three-year campaign where $1.4 million was raised by engaged community members. In April of 2003, we relocated our operations to a new facility within the Aspen Recreation Center on Maroon Creek Road, across from the Aspen School District campus.

28 years later, Aspen Youth Center continues to provide after school and all day summer programs to youth in grades 4-12, throughout the valley, for FREE.

AYC is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive place where youth in grades 4 through 12 connect, learn, and grow during their out of school hours, for free.

We do this through daily, staff-led clubs and activities. For more information about our

Aspen Youth Center Kidsprograms, please click here. We continue to be supported by grants and contributions from foundations, businesses, and individuals in the community. Please consider donating today!

We are the ONLY FREE non-profit youth center in the Roaring Fork Valley providing our services to youth in grades 4 – 12 from Aspen to Parachute.

Aspen Youth Center is open from 10:00am to 6:00pm during the school year (September to May) and 9:00am to 6:00pm during the summer (June – August). We are open on school vacations, snow days, teacher work days and some holidays. We offer Middle School Nights on Friday Nights from November to April.
